The Haut-Kœnigsbourg castle

Haut-Kœnigsbourg (France, September 2004) The impression of power emanating from Haut-Koenigsbourg is created as much as its size as by the massive pink sandstone terraces. Built originally in the 12th century, this castle was restored by the German Emperor William II as a symbol of the Empire on Alsace.
